The university said the features of Replay 4 that are attractive include: It eliminates a backup window, continuously creates point-in-time images, reduces server downtime during a live recovery, and data deduplication.

Shield Advanced Solutions releases new disaster recovery product, DR4i

Shield Advanced Solutions announced the release of a new product, DR4i, a disaster recovery software product that provides high availability (HA). DR4i is based on a remote journal technology that is provided free with the IBM i OS and is installed as an IBM Licensed Program Product. According to Shield Advanced Solutions, DR4i is required only on the target system, and it provides users with email notifications of registered messages.

Apex Learning selects Internap to host disaster recovery site

Internap announced that Apex Learning has implemented an additional disaster recovery site with Internap's collocation and Performance IP premier connectivity services. The new DR site will be located in Internap's Atlanta data center and will be used as a backup for its primary data site, located in Seattle. According to Internap, the Performance IP service provides managed servers, data storage, advanced monitoring and 24/7 live support.

BELFOR expands coverage; builds restoration service center in New Jersey

BELFOR, a provider of property restoration services, is expanding its service into New Jersey. BELFOR offers disaster recovery services for commercial, residential and industrial businesses. The company has 24/7 emergency services, and helps companies after a disaster with structural dehumidification, cleaning and decontamination, contents restoration, mold remediation, electronics restoration, magnetic media and data recovery, vital records recovery, water extraction emergency power and consulting services.
