AT&T holds disaster recovery planning exercises in San Diego

AT&T announced it will hold a Network Disaster Recovery Exercise (NDR) in San Diego, CA. until October 23, 2009. The NDR exercise is conducted several times a year, and will be held at the Omni San Diego Hotel, providing participants with an overview of safe ways to use business applications and network security. The NDR team provides emergency communication systems for first responders and emergency workers in case of disasters like wildfires, earthquakes, or mudslides. They also have a management team who works directly with federal, state and local government agencies to plan disaster recovery strategies and recovery efforts.

The NDR team has been active in responding to disasters for the past 15 years, and has helped in massive DR efforts in the aftermath of hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires and more.
