InMage announced a new backup and disaster recovery product called vContinuum. vContinuum is designed for backup and disaster recovery of VMware ESX/vSphere virtual machine (VM) environments. Based on continuous data protection (CDP) technology, InMage vContinuum is geared toward small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
TwinStrata announces VMware High Availability support
TwinStrata Inc. announced it has qualified its CloudArray software with VMware High Availability (HA), a component of VMware Infrastructure. TwinStrata's CloudArray software running on VMware is designed to provide protection of CloudArray virtual machines, application data and off-site backup operations in the event of hardware failure or disaster. CloudArray with built-in VMware HA support is available from TwinStrata and through its network of partners.

Netex HyperIP helps communications agency replicate virtual machines for disaster recovery
NetEx announced that Rhea & Kaiser, an independent communications agency, has implemented its HyperIP to accelerate replication traffic of virtual machines. Rhea & Kaiser adopted HyperIP after experiencing problems when replicating its virtual machines off-site. HyperIP solved the problem of high latency issues it was experiencing with a 10 Mb Fibre connection to its disaster recovery site through a VPN between two Sonicwall firewall appliances, avoiding adding bandwidth to its main and disaster recovery sites.
