StorageCraft releases ShadowProtect Server 4.0 to improve RTOs

StorageCraft Technology Corp. announced the release of StorageCraft ShadowProtect Server 4.0 and StorageCraft ShadowProtect Small Business Server 4.0. ShadowProtect Server 4.0 is designed to improve recovery time objectives (RTOs) by reducing the amount of time systems and data are offline. According to StorageCraft, features of ShadowProtect include virtualization technology, centralized management, bare metal recovery, quick data recovery and image consolidation.

DocuLex offers their Archive Studio software as a cloud SaaS option for DR

DocuLex announced that they will offer their Archive Studio as a cloud software-as-a-service (SaaS) option for disaster recovery and business continuity. Archive Studio provides offsite data storage which can be accessed by a customized user portal. During an outage or interruption, an organization can access their documents and data using this portal from any location with Internet access. Access to the portal is secured with encryption and SSL protection.

Verizon adds Riverbed WAN optimization technology to WAN optimization service

Verizon Wireless announced that it is adding Riverbed's wide-area network (WAN) optimization technology to its Managed WAN Optimization Services portfolio. Verizon's Managed WAN Optimization Services allow companies to reduce the amount of time it takes to transfer data between locations. According to Riverbed, their Steelhead appliance can speed up applications between data centers and remote locations by enhancing bandwidth.
