SunGard Availability Services introduced a new product that is aimed at helping companies determine the resilience of vendors and readiness of employees in business continuity (BC) planning. The product, SunGard Vendor Assessment and Work Force Assessment software, is a new component to the SunGard Continuity Management Solution, which manages the lifecycle of BC planning, testing and execution.
SunGard says this add-on can reduce the time needed to maintain vendor records by having vendors update their BC information through a survey. Also, the software allows companies to evaluate their IT personnel's ability to respond to disruptions and disasters by providing a tool to collect employee information, skills, certifications and disaster recovery testing and business continuity experience.
The SunGard Vendor Assessment and Work Force Assessment software is available now.
