DataCore Software announces new SAN features in Microsoft Hyper-V
DataCore Software announced new storage area network (SAN) features in Microsoft Hyper-V, which include live migration, dynamic load balancing and high availability (HA). These features are all available in the downloadable pre-configured Virtual SAN Appliance (VSA).
DataCore VSA comes in standard VHD format for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Neverfail announces protection for Exchange 2010
Neverfail announced support and protection for failover and disaster recovery in Microsoft's Exchange Server 2010. Neverfail for Exchange 2010 replicates data in real-time to standby secondary or tertiary servers. It also monitors the performance and availability of the data backup environment, so if the system goes down in the event of a failure, Neverfail will provide automatic or manually controlled switchover to another server.
Wiresoft launches "Hack Us If You Can" firewall challenge
Wiresoft announced Firegate, a firewall product that has enterprise-level security plus disaster recovery (DR) that is geared specifically to small- to medium sized businesses (SMBs).
With the release of Firegate, Wiresoft also issued a challenge. The company is offering a $24,000 reward to anyone who can hack Firegate within 24 hours.
